Development of Life Skills

Build everyday skills — cooking, money, public transport, technology, decision-making — with a focus on confidence and long-term independence. Workers go at your pace, with collaborative goal-setting and clear, jargon-free progress checks.

Development of Life Skills

This service helps participants live as autonomously as possible — including supports that build the ability to travel, use public transport independently and maintain personal hygiene routines. Goals are set with the participant and their family; pace is set by them.

Skill domains we cover

  • Personal care — showering, toileting, hygiene routines
  • Nutrition — grocery shopping, meal planning, basic cooking
  • Home management — housework, laundry, basic maintenance
  • Communication — interacting with service providers, neighbours, support networks
  • Transportation — journey planning and public-transport navigation
  • Money — budgeting, banking, paying bills

The team works collaboratively with participants and their families. Confidence and independence are the long-term outcomes; clear, jargon-free progress checks are the short-term ones.

The supports you can expect, end to end.

  • Delivered by trained, vetted, dignity-first support workers
