Vehicle Modifications

A standard car may not accommodate every passenger or driver. We arrange and coordinate four kinds of vehicle modifications: rear or side-mounted electric hoists for wheelchairs and scooters, swivel and supported seating, accessible controls (steering-wheel buttons, left-foot accelerator), and remote-operated automatic door systems.

Vehicle Modifications

A standard car may not be able to accommodate every participant — whether you're a passenger, a driver or a primary occupant. We arrange and coordinate four main kinds of vehicle modification.

Modification options

  • Hoists and lifts — rear or side-mounted electric hoists that safely lift a wheelchair or mobility scooter into the vehicle.
  • Specialised seating — swivel seating systems, seats with extra supports and restraints, or fully custom seating for safer travel.
  • Accessible controls — steering-wheel-mounted controls, left-foot accelerators, hand controls, push-button gear changes.
  • Door automation — automatic door systems opened by remote or vehicle button.

We coordinate the assessment, the chosen modifier, the install timeline and the NDIS paperwork. You drive away with the modifications you actually need — not a compromise.

The supports you can expect, end to end.

  • Tailored to your NDIS plan and personal goals
  • Delivered by trained, vetted, dignity-first support workers
  • Flexible scheduling — you choose when, where, and with whom
  • Transparent reporting and progress check-ins
  • Backed by NCSG’s full coordination and clinical team
